Enjoy peace & tranquility within easy touring distance of many attractions…
We are situated in the small hamlet of Bunree by the village of Onich. The house itself is accessed via a private road from the A82, the main road between Glasgow and Inverness, making us easily accessible from north or south. We are, however, far enough from the main road to enjoy the full peace and tranquillity of the West Highlands. Fort William, with its shops and restaurants is a ten minute drive to the north, whilst scenic Glencoe is a ten minute drive to the south. Further afield, the picturesque port of Oban is around 45 minutes away, whilst world famous Loch Ness is less than an hour’s drive. We are within walking distance of the Corran Inn, the Four Seasons pub at Inchree and the Ardgour Hotel (via the Corran Ferry), all of which serve evening meals, and within a short drive of several other restaurants, including the celebrated Lochleven Seafood Cafe.
How to find us
TRAVELLING FROM THE SOUTH: Follow the A82 north from Glasgow to Crianlarich, across Rannoch Moor and through Glencoe, or the A828 north along the coast from Oban. Cross over the large bridge at Ballachulish and continue through the village of Onich. Shortly after leaving the village, you will see the sign for Bunree/Bun Ruighe directing you to turn left (do not take the earlier turning to the Bunree Caravan Club site). Take this turning and continue down the narrow road. At the small T junction turn left and follow the lane past a few houses, eventually turning sharp right. Lochview is the large white house at the very end of the track.
TRAVELLING FROM THE NORTH take the A82 south from Fort William. After about 9 miles/14.5km, you will see the right turning down to the Corran Ferry. Carry on, and as the road turns first right then left you will quickly pass three bus stops, the third of which is followed immediately by the turning to Bunree/Bun Ruighe on the right (there is a large sign for our neighbour’s business “Janika”). Take this turning and continue down the narrow lane, following the signs for Janika. At the small T junction turn left and follow the lane past Janika, eventually turning sharply right by Dalbreagha. Lochview is the large white house at the very end of the track.
